Get an estimate for a project like thisWe prep and stain fences for an even, rich color that protects the wood and lifts your whole yard's appearance.

We measure the run, check for damaged pickets, and confirm one side or two.
Gray, dirty, or mildewed wood is washed and left to dry.
Concrete, plants, and nearby surfaces are covered.
Stain is applied evenly and worked into the grain.
Masking comes off and the area is left tidy.
Bare cedar and pine fences gray within a year or two in full sun. Beyond looks, unprotected pickets dry out, cup, and crack, and wood near sprinklers takes on water. Stain slows all of that down and keeps the fence looking like the day it went up.
Because a fence is so visible, even color matters. We prep the wood, protect the surrounding concrete, plants, and house, and keep a wet edge so there are no lap marks or blotchy sections.
Spraying puts stain on quickly and reaches between pickets, but stain that is only sprayed can sit on the surface. Back-brushing works it into the grain for better penetration and a more uniform finish. Masking and wind matter as much as technique: on a windy day, overspray travels, so we plan the work around conditions.
Linear footage and fence height set the price, along with whether one side or both are being stained. Weathered fences need washing first, and loose or broken pickets are best replaced before staining so the repair blends in. Stain type matters as well, since more pigmented stains protect longer.

New wood usually needs a few weeks to dry, depending on the lumber and the weather. Staining too early traps moisture and gives a blotchy result.
Usually. Washing removes the gray surface fibers and brings back much of the wood's color before stain is applied. Badly cracked or rotted pickets should be replaced.
We can do one side or both. Staining both protects the wood better; your neighbor's side depends on their access and agreement.
